Ben Franklin Bridge Repainting Project - Consultant
Currently, we are working on the Ben Franklin Bridge performing inspection services for Phase-2 and Phase-3: Our Painting Inspector Ken Eckel is a valuable asset on the project. As a Senior Painting Inspector, his responsibilities were the inspection of various aspects of this challenging and very important project for DRPA. First time in the history of this 75-year-old bridge, this repainting is done by going through a complete removal of all old paint coatings to the bare metal and applying new coatings. Removal of old lead based painting requires containment and special procedures. His important role and valuable experience in this and prior projects make him a good candidate for any bridge repainting of such magnitude.
